Kemp Elementary Celebration Assembly
The Celebration Assembly at Kemp Elementary, held on November 3rd, was a joyous celebration of academic excellence that united the entire school community in a spirit of pride and enthusiasm. Students in grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th eagerly gathered in the gymnasium, brandishing green foam fingers bearing the declaration, "We're #1." Principal Robert Jurhs-Savage, joined by distinguished guests from the Board of Education, including President Reneé Lovato and Secretary Maria Zubia, kicked off the event.
The focal point of the celebration was the awards. Students had the opportunity to earn gold and silver trophies based on their academic performance, with the added incentive of a limousine ride and lunch for those achieving the top growth rankings. To earn a gold trophy, students needed a growth ranking of 60% or higher on the STAR test and proficiency on the CMAS assessment.
