Welcome!  Thank you for visiting Kemp's 5th grade page!

The fifth grade teachers, Mr. Armenta, Ms. Wright, and Ms. Barragan, have very high expectations for our students.  We want all our students to be successful and believe that in order for that to happen, they need to work hard.  That's why we teach every lesson with a high level of rigor and expect our students to set challenging goals for themselves.  Every day, every minute, every second counts in the classroom as well as outside the classroom.  Homework is an important, and necessary part of learning responsibility and preparing for middle school.  Homework includes a weekly reading log, math homework, and often times, writing and science homework.  Please partner with us in ensuring that your child is successful every day!

By the end of fifth grade in math, students should be able to multiply combinations of two and three-digit numbers.
